Hope you are having a great week! Today I am sharing my New Years fitness resolution or rather lack there of. Last year at this time I was training for a half marathon and ran my first one in February. It was a great personal accomplishment and one of my fitness resolutions last year. But 2020 has come and this year I am resolution-less. I have no big fitness plans or big goals to accomplish for the year, and I am ok with that. I’m sharing more of why I have chosen not to have any fitness resolutions this year below, plus this cute workout outfit and leopard bomber jacket I can’t get enough of.
I am back after a much needed break for Spring Break. Honestly I was so exhausted with my son off school for a week, and my husband gone for work I didn’t have time to work on my blog. But I am back and today I am sharing something personal that happened to me that I hope can shed light on an issue that negatively affect us on social media. A couple weeks ago I posted a workout video that was advertised through Instagram. I had people comment on my post saying things like I looked anorexic, I needed to eat, and I was too thin to workout. Very false assumption that many people have about anorexia and fitness. Body shaming is a prevalent issue on social media, and there are so many misleading misconception about “health” and how “healthy looks”. I sat there thinking what I wanted to reply back to the comment, but then I realized this…

So if you are in a slump when it comes to your fitness goals during the winter, here are some tips to keep you motivated.

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! Today I wanted to talk about getting out of our comfort zone and five reasons why you should try something new. A couple of weeks ago I took my son to park which happened to have a little skate park too. He found an abandoned skateboard and started to learn how to use it. I remember just sitting there watching him and being so proud of him for not being afraid to try something new. He wasn’t afraid of falling or letting any of his fears get in his way of learning something new. I honestly believe sometimes it takes looking life through a child’s eyes, to make you face your fear of the unknown and of failure. Here are five reasons you should try something new.

Today I’m sharing a fun post with my hottie of a hubby, and talking about our fitness goals and the benefits of working out with your significant other! Y’all what if I told you I fell in love with my husband at the gym. In fact I’m sure it was spotting him at the squat rack that I thought, man look at that butt. Ok I’m going to stop before I embarrass my husband even more, but aside from enjoying a good view of his backside when we work out, here are six reasons why I love working out with my hubby, and the benefits of working out with your significant other.
