This weekend was an eventful one with our second annual Kendra Scott event benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network (view last year’s event here). It was such a great event to raise money for one of my favorite charities, and a great way to kick off my birthday month. If you didn’t already enter, we are giving $400 in Kendra Scott gift cards for your very own Color Bar Party. Click here to enter. Like I promised in my previous post I am teaming up with my favorite brands and boutiques to give away some of my favorite things. And today, I’ve teamed up with Lane 201 Boutique to give one lucky winner a gift card to shop! You could get this adorable gingham top from there, which would be a perfect top for Easter. I wore this outfit last Sunday for church and Sunday brunch, and this gingham top was a hit. Gingham is in for spring and for under $30 this top is a steal! This week is literally flying by, and I did stay up super late so I could share this adorable spring outfit perfect for Easter or a day at the beach. I also wanted to talk to you guys about the importance of finding your unique style as a fashion blogger in this heavily saturated industry. Lets face it, it seems like there are a million and one fashion bloggers out there, and several of them working for the same companies, getting the same product to advertise. It can get very discouraging seeing one blogger, copy another blogger, posting the same outfit down from the same dress and shoes and calling it their own. Honestly as a blogger who follows a ton of fashion blogger. I get it, you are following a trend. But there is a big difference between following a trend, copying a trend, and setting the trend. Do you know where you fall?
Gosh this weekend went by so fast, and this week will go by even faster. It is a busy week for this momma! I’ve got some exciting things coming up including prepping for a church fashion show, going to this fashion show, and then Saturday I have my annual blogger fundraiser benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network at Kendra Scott. If you are in the area you should definitely stop by! I would love to meet you. You can view more of the event details here. Spring has definitely sprung, and with the warmer weather out, the white wide leg trousers are also making a big come back. I can’t get enough of these types of wide leg trouser pants (check out my previous post here and here). And being petite and only 5’2″, I love how much taller they make me look. Check out how I styled these white wide leg trouser pants for spring below.
Today I am sharing one of my favorite trends for spring. I love a good pair of boyfriend jeans that allow my legs to breath, especially after working out all week, my muscles are too sore for me to try to squeeze myself in skinny jeans lol. I love being able to transition from casual to dressy by switching up my layers and shoes. Here are 5 tips to wearing boyfriend jeans and how you can incorporate it in your wardrobe.

I am keeping it short and sweet for this blog post, as I have a big day ahead of me. Today we will be meeting up with Jayden’s Godparents, my dearest friends, for a full day of fun at the rodeo. I cannot wait since this will be the first time we go as a family. Last year my husband wasn’t able to go with me and Jayden because he had to work. Luckily this year it all worked out, and we are headed to see one of my favorite country artist Thomas Rhett. The rodeo is always something we look forward to every year. The food, the music, the animals, there is so much to look forward too. One thing I particularly love is getting an excuse to wear my cowboy boots and getting all dressed up for the rodeo. Here is a rodeo inspired look with one of my favorite red romper.
We are here at the Woodlands Resort enjoying our last day. So thankful to have gotten the opportunity to experience this resort. If you missed any Snapchat or Instastories, don’t worry I will be doing a full recap on Youtube, so make sure you are subscribed! Today I am keeping it short and sweet with this fun bell sleeve combo to kick off Spring Break!
TGIF everyone! I can’t believe I survived three days of potty training. Seriously so mentally exhausting being stuck in your home for three days just watching your kiddo like a ticking time bomb. Hahaha but I know it will be all worth it in the end. You can watch more of my my potty training journey on Snapchat. But back to this embroidered dress and my exciting kid free weekend ahead with the hubs. I can’t get enough of embroidered dress lately, especially this adorable one from Luna Grace Boutique I wore on my trip at the Dreams Playa De Mujeres Resort. It’s the perfect Spring dress/cover up for your next trip to the beach. Check out my favorite embroidered dresses for under $75 below.
When I started this blog it was a blog to document my life as a first time mother. I never thought it would be where it is today. In the past two years it has evolved to something more covering more than just motherhood, but fashion, fitness, and travel. But no matter how big it grows the heart behind my blog will always be the love God gave me when I became a mom. It’s true what they say motherhood changes you. You start to see the world different, you start to open your eyes to what is going on around you, and your heart suddenly starts to ache more when you hear and see people, families, children suffering around you. It is hard in these days as a mother, as a blogger, and as someone with influence to stand silent or turn a blind eye to everything that is happening in this world. Especially knowing your child will be growing up in it. Some days it’s overwhelming, even disheartening, but even though this world will never be a perfect place, we still can make a difference. And it all starts at home. Here are 3 ways you can make a difference as a mom.
