Can you believe we are only a couple of days from the New Year. This is officially my last post of the year! Today I just wanted to round-up some of my favorite moments and some milestones I am very proud of with my blog. This year was a big one, and it was a year of first, from my first sponsored international trip, to my first trip to New York Fashion Week and getting to be a hair extra on E News with Marianna Hewitt! I was able to accomplish so many of my goals including doubling my Pinterest, and Instagram following, to reaching 10k views on one of my YouTube videos! I’ve also had the opportunity to work with a talent agent, partnered in some amazing events, and even tripled my blogging income! But most of all I was able to grow my brand, and grow my network by meeting so many amazing people along the way. I honestly couldn’t have done it without the support of everyone who has followed along on this journey. So thank you, thank you for being part of this journey with me and I hope you enjoy this recap of my blogging year in 2017.

This past weekend we had the opportunity to spend the weekend at the newest luxury hotel in Houston, the Hotel Alessandra, for a little holiday staycation to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Did you know I never knew about staycations until I became a mom? Let’s face it, when you have kids it is hard to get away for long periods of time, especially finding someone to watch your child for longer than a weekend. But sometimes as parents you just need a weekend to getaway and recharge, and just focus on your other half. Staycations are perfect for those moments, whether it be for your anniversary, just because, or in our case a weekend away to celebrate my husband’s 30th birthday. Today I am sharing all about our luxurious weekend at the Hotel Alessandra and the perfect outfit for a night out on the town.
With New Years approaching so is our upcoming fitness resolutions. I have to be honest, since Thanksgiving, working out and going to the gym has been the last thing on my mind. I’ve been so busy with family, and enjoying everything that comes with the holidays including the food, and honestly I am ok with that. This year I changed my New Years resolution, not to reach a certain goal or weight but rather a level of acceptance and happiness.
