Hope you’re having a great week! Last week I had my thirty first birthday. I was truly blessed to celebrate another year with all my friends, family, and the amazing community I have built here on my blog and social media. My 30th was a great year for me, I was able to accomplish some of my goals I had for myself including moving into a new home, traveling around the world, and growing this business of mine. Looking back this past year has taught me so much about myself. And as I head into my 31st year I thought I would share lessons learned at 30. Read more below!

Hope you are doing well! Today I am sharing one of my first looks in L.A. last week when I was in town. Our first stop was Venice Beach and we fell in love with the area. I loved all the street art and street performers, and its overall vibe. I wore this one piece swimsuit that doubled as a bodysuit for more versatility. We went straight to the beach and then lunch right after wearing the same swimsuit. I paired it up with these frayed denim shorts and my go to denim jacket and Fila dad sneakers. Check out my full outfit to Venice Beach below and find out where I am headed to next below!

3 Things I Want to Take Away From The Altitude Summit
FEATURED ON THIS POST:
Hi Friends,
Happy Monday! Today I am writing from Palm Springs! I’m down here for a week for the Altitude Summit and I am so excited to be here. Last year my friend recommended this conference to me, so I booked my ticket because I was excited to attend a conference for creatives which is unlike any other conference I’ve been. What most attracted me to Altitude Summit was that it encompassed boss babes from business owners, to bloggers, book writers, to freelance artist. There were so many types of women that would be attending beyond my scope of blogging, and there would be so many different type of creative classes offered for people like me who were looking to expand their horizons. Plus did I mention, Joanna Gaines was the keynote speaker! And I am one of her biggest fan. I’ve always loved her story and how she came from just a mom design blogger to becoming one of the most successful women in the business, yet staying true to who she was and always putting her faith and family first. Today on the blog I am sharing three things I want to take away from the Altitude Summit and how I hope to grow from it.
5 Things I Learned From Being Body Shamed On Social Media
FEATURED ON THIS POST:
Hi friends,
I am back after a much needed break for Spring Break. Honestly I was so exhausted with my son off school for a week, and my husband gone for work I didn’t have time to work on my blog. But I am back and today I am sharing something personal that happened to me that I hope can shed light on an issue that negatively affect us on social media. A couple weeks ago I posted a workout video that was advertised through Instagram. I had people comment on my post saying things like I looked anorexic, I needed to eat, and I was too thin to workout. Very false assumption that many people have about anorexia and fitness. Body shaming is a prevalent issue on social media, and there are so many misleading misconception about “health” and how “healthy looks”. I sat there thinking what I wanted to reply back to the comment, but then I realized this…

Hey friends!
Hope you had a great weekend! Today I finally get to share a secret I have been keeping from you and something I am so thankful for. This year has provided us with so many blessings and so many things to be thankful for. This year I get the opportunity to continue as part of 2019 #DSWSTYLESQUAD for DSW with ladies from all over the U.S. Last year I had the privilege of being part of this amazing squad with some of my best girl friends from Houston. It was one of the most amazing opportunities of my life. Being able to continue another year with such an amazing company that believes in me and my business is truly a humbling experience. But regardless of the big milestones, the new opportunities there is so much to be thankful for in our everyday life. Today I wanted to share a prayer with you about living life in gratitude. Something I strive to live by everyday regardless of life’s circumstances, and something I hope to continue to bring into the new year. Read more below:
