Hi Friends,
Hope you are doing well! We are officially back from our vacation. I took a week off during our trip so I could enjoy my time with our family. We had the best time and so glad we came back to Frisco. You can view last year’s travel guide here. Today on this post I’m answering some of your most asked questions like where we stayed, what we did, plus giving a complete round up of all of my oufit details and tips for dressing for the snow. Check out more on this post below!

This year we stayed closer into town and opted for our own house instead of a condo. We stayed here with Sky Run rentals and could not say enough good things about this place. We loved the location, the size, and the privacy of this home. We literally could walk into town but were minutes away from the mountains and some amazing walking trail. Did I mention the view from our balcony is absolutely spectacular. Plus when you rent with Sky rentals you get tons of free add ons too, like rentals, ski lifts, and sleigh rides too! We took full advantage of it as a family.
For transportation, we drove the new Mazda CX-9 and was wowed by the handling and the drive up the mountains. Plus it seat all five of us and all our luggage comfortably! We were able to drive to and from Denver, to Vail, and see some amazing views at Sapphire Point Overlook and Loveland Pass.

5 Tips for Dressing for the Snow:
- Dress in layers – Depending on the day as well as the altitude the temperature can easily get warmer or colder. I always wore a base layer, under my top and bottoms, and then had a jacket on top of it that I could easily take on and off. I can’t get enough of these leggings, check out more of these transitional leggings here.
- Cover up your ears, head, fingers, and neck – Accessorizing with gloves, a hat, a scarf, and extra socks will keep you warm. Check out some of my favorite cold weather accessories here.
- Wear sunglasses – Not sure if it was the snow or the mountains but everything seemed brighter in Colorado, and sometimes it was blinding. Plus having glasses will keep snow and flurries from getting in your eyes. Check out some of my favorite sunglasses here.
- Invest in boots – Boots will keep snow out of your feet and a good snow boot will keep you from slipping on the ice. Check out my favorite Sorel boots here.
- Get wool socks – Wool socks will keep your feet from getting wet from sweating and keep you warmer. These are the wool socks I bought.
