Sunday Best – Pastels in Fall

Happy Monday everyone!

It’s finally cooling off down here in Houston. With the cooler weather I’m sharing how you can still wear pastels in the fall and the perfect lightweight jacket to layer with for your Sunday best. When it comes to my outfits for church, I grew up in a Catholic household where we always dressed up for church. I use to hate it when I was a kid, but now that I am older I definitely have an appreciate for getting dressed for Sunday church service. I wore this pretty purple lace dress with my favorite comfy mules, this fun studded cross body bag, and my favorite light weight jacket for fall. Check out this full look below! How to Customize Your Leather Jacket for Under $50 DIY

NYFW, New York FASHION WEEK, CUSTOMIZE DIY JACKET, DIY LEATHER JACKET, EMBELLISHED JACKET, STUDDED JACKET, SEQUIN JACKET, NYFW STREET STYLE, FRIDA KAHLO

Happy Friday everyone,

So for all of those wondering how I customized my leather jacket I wore for New York Fashion week, I am sharing a simple DIY for you. I did this in two days, and it wasn’t that hard as long as you have a design in your mind that you want to do. Figuring out my design was the hardest part. I couldn’t decide if I was going to paint my jacket or stud it. Well I when I went to Joann to find the material, my design went out the window when I saw this beautiful sequins pattern. From there it just came to me, and the constructing it itself wasn’t difficult. I was inspired to do a Frida Kahlo Day of the Dead design on the back because she was one of the most influential female artist, and to this day even after her death continues to inspire many young artist like myself. I knew I wanted to have an original piece to wear when I went to NYFW, and this was an easy customize leather jacket DIY that helped me stand out in the crowd. You can see the full outfit here! Check out my DIY below.

Hey guys,

Can you believe it we are already half way through the month! I am so excited for all the fun Fall activities we are having this month. But I am even more excited to be sharing it with my little man. I love this stage we are in. I told my husband for the first time in I finally feel like I have this motherhood thing down and it feels so good. I am not one of those people where motherhood came easily. I was never fond of the newborn stage, but this stage has to be my favorite. It is a new adventure with my little man. I love watching him learn, and talk, and show me things from his perspective. I love his energy, his joyful spirit, and his sweet love for his momma. It honestly makes my day when he gives me all those sweet kisses and hugs, and tells me “Momma thank you so much,” for the little things like getting him a cookie or taking him to the pumpkin patch. He melts my heart every day, and I am so thankful to be his momma. There truly is something special about being a boy mom, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Today I am sharing our fall checklist and the things we look forward to doing this month.

The Importance of Date Night – Slip Dresses under $50

Last weekend my husband and I enjoyed a wonderful date night together thanks to my wonderful mother in law for watching Jayden for the night. Since my husband works two weeks straight and at night, I hardly get one on one time with him. One thing I value is our date nights we have together, and since we co-sleep it is one night we have to ourselves and when Jayden has a sleep over with his grandparents. Today I am sharing why date nights are important to me and this slip dress I wore to our date night. Plus some of my favorite slip dresses under $50.
