Today I am sharing the last day of my New York Fashion Week recap. I can’t believe it’s almost been a month since I was there. It still all seems so surreal to me, but I just finished my video recap (you can watch here) and it was in fact very much REAL, and one of the best experiences of my life. Today I’m going to share my last day at NYFW and the perfect fall outfit I took at the Flatiron and running around the city.
Monday was our last day and we were up early for another photo shoot with Yash at the Flatiron. Our hotel was only a couple of block so I enjoyed a nice morning walk there. I stopped by this Italian cafe called Eataly next to the Flatiron and had the best chocolate coffee. It is the cutest place, and I think what was even better was it was the first specialty coffee I had for $3. I would definitely go there instead of Starbucks if I lived in NYC. I loved shooting at the Flatiron. It is the perfect spot for pictures. It’s right next to Madison Square Park which is the cutest little park, and has an outdoor area where food trucks are stationed. If I were to come to NYC with family I would definitely go back to visit.
After my shoot at the Flatiron I walked to my next meeting with my PR contact from Elizabeth Arden. She was so sweet to book a nice spa date at the Red Door Spa. It was the perfect spa date to end my trip. Before I left she gave me all these amazing goodies. I’m in love with their Prevage City Smart shield! I walked back to my next meeting at the Bauble Bar HQ which was next to the Flatiron where I met up with my blogger babes. We had fun getting to preview all the new accessories while enjoying sweets and champagne. I took this little gem home with me!
My roommate Lan and I headed back to our hotel where we took a couple more outfit shoots. We only had a couple more hours left before we had to head back to their airport to catch our flight home. We decided to take the subway to the 911 memorial since it was September 11. It was surreal being there where the buildings stood. I can’t believe it was sixteen years ago. It was so sad to see families of people who died during the tragedy there. I can’t imagine going through something like that, or seeing two of the tallest towers in NYC fall. After visiting the memorial we headed back to our hotel. We were suppose to stop by here, but it was closed on Mondays. I was so upset because I was really craving some cookie dough, but I guess that will be on my list next time I visit!
Alright so lets talk about these amazing overalls I was gifted at the Bollare showroom. I loved how comfortable and soft they were. If you don’t have a pair of overalls invest in these! For size reference I normally wear a 24 however these are a 26 and fit perfect. I know it is supposed to be more fitted, but if you want more of a relax fit size up. I love how it went perfectly with this bell sleeve top and my studded booties. This was my most casual outfit in NYC and perfect for the last day of PR meetings and running around NYC. I loved accessorizing this outfit with this fedora and scarf. The fedora, scarf, the booties, and this camera bag I wore multiple times during my trip.
