9th Anniversary + Big News

Hi friends,

Hope you are having a great week! Last Wednesday we celebrated our 9th anniversary and we also closed to build our new home. If you’ve been following for awhile then you might have remembered two years ago for our seventh anniversary we bought seven acres and sold our old house. A lot has happened in two years including adding two more kiddos to our family. The market has definitely not been favorable to home buyers or new home builder with inflation, high interest rates, cost of materials, ect. We honestly thought about waiting it out, but after two years we decided to just bite the bullet and continue on with our home build.

A lot of blood sweat and tears have gone to where we are now, but we are excited to finally get this started. Hopefully next year we will be able to move in to our new home. I am thankful for my hubby for working so hard to make our dreams come true. I can’t believe that we’ve already been married for nine years. I’m so blessed to call him mine. Our marriage isn’t perfect, and we have worked hard to be where we are today, but I can honestly say it’s been the best nine years of my life. I look at the life we have built together, and our soon to be three beautiful children and thank God everyday for giving me such a wonderful husband, partner, and best friend.

I never dreamed I could fall in love with someone who I just love more and more everyday. Honestly didn’t think that was possible. I thought I would have to be tired of him  by now, but nope, not even our worse days together I never want to be apart. He is my person, my best friend, my biggest supporter, the best father to our children, and I love him more now than I have ever loved him before. Here is to nine years of the best years of my life and to a lifetime together! Excited for this next chapter in our lives and building a new home together!

Check out how much we’ve grown in our marriage in our other anniversary post here!

Last Summer With Two – Family Outfits Under $20

Hi friends,

Hope you are doing well! Can you believe it we are already in the month of July! Time is flying by so fast, and it will be the last summer with two babes, before our third comes along. I’m trying to soak up all the time I have my babes this summer, even though some days can be more difficult with these pregnancies. But I know I only have eighteen summers with them before they are adults. In the grand scheme of things it really is a short period of time when you think about it. Anyways, before I get too emotional I wanted to share this fun photoshoot I took with my babes and our summer family outfits under $20. Check them out below!

SHOP FAMILY OUTFITS:

How cute are these looks? My dress is only $15 and very bump friendly. I did size up to a medium just in case. Ella’s romper comes in a pack of two for under $15. And Jayden’s top also comes in a pack of two for under $15. I love when I can save and still look cute when it comes to our family outfits. Plus with how fast these kids grow and my belly, we are constantly needing more clothes.

4th of July is around the corner and we will be celebrating with family, and attending some fun events in our neighborhood. Soaking up the fun as the last summer with two little babes. What are your plans for the holiday?

28 Weeks Pregnancy Update Baby #3

Hi friends,

Hope you are doing well! Can you believe it how fast June has flown by, or maybe it’s me. But last week I officially hit 28 weeks! I can’t believe I am already in my third trimester. This pregnancy has flown by, especially when I have my hands full with a one year old and and eight year old at home with me this summer. Today I wanted to give you a quick 28 weeks pregnancy update and share this casual but classic maternity shoot with my family. I finally feel like my bump has popped so I can fully show it off now. Check out more of my update below.

28 Weeks Pregnancy Update Baby #3

This pregnancy has flown by. Out of all my other pregnancies I have felt the best with this one. I have been staying healthier, and haven’t gained as much weight like I did with Ella. I gained thirty five pounds with Jayden, and seventy pounds with Ella! To be fair it was mostly water weight from swelling and she was a bigger baby, but I am hoping to stay under thirty pounds with this one. So far I’ve only gained fifteen pounds. I have been walking one to two miles a day in the mornings with my little ones at the park, and swimming one to two times a week at our gym. I’ve definitely stayed more active this time around.

A couple months ago I had debilitating sciatica which was affecting my workout routine, but after many recommendations I went and saw an Airrosti specialist and within a month I was able to work through my sciatic with specialized workouts and stretches. It was a life saver! I feel so empowered because I found a solution with Airrosti instead of a cover up like most drugs doctors prescribe for pain. I would 100% recommend Airrosti!

With my cravings and diet, I have been craving Smoothie King acai Berry Goji bowls. I go to Smoothie King twice a day. In the morning for my protein shakes before my walks, and after for my acai bowls. It’s a healthier craving than my donut craving I had with Ella. I eat pretty healthy with this pregnancy which probably accounts to why I feel better.

As far as baby goes, baby is growing healthy. Measures smaller than my other two, but I am not complaining because it’s definitely been easier this time around. It’s hard enough being pregnant in the summer, especially in this Texas heat! Baby is very active though. I feel movement, kicks, rolls 24/7. I wonder if this means we have another little athlete on our hands. This week I go in for my glucose test, but I am not too worried since I’ve past them my other two times. Just ready to get it over with. It isn’t a pleasant test, and I didn’t have the best experience last time when I was pregnant with Ella.

It amazes me that we are already in the third trimester. We still haven’t put anything together or prepared for baby, but I am not too worried since we have almost everything with Ella. We will probably get the crib together next month though. Twelve more weeks or sooner and baby #3 will be here!

My Greatest Loves

Hi friends,

Hope you are having a great week! I just wanted to share our family photoshoot we took over my birthday weekend. Honestly it’s the greatest gift my family can give me is humoring me with a photoshoot. I know they don’t find as much joy in it as I do, and though there is bribing and whining involved at the end of the day when I look back at these photos it brings me nothing but joy and happiness. These are just little moments captured of my greatest loves on my birthday, and as I grow older all I want is to grow old with my family, watch my children grow, and spend the rest of my life with my love of my life.

My favorite person, my best friend, father of my babies, my love of my life, the guy I get to call my husband and spend the rest of my life with. How did I get so lucky? He always spoils me and makes me feel like a Queen every day. And every time he gives me a baby my love for him grows exponentially more because he is the best dad to our kiddos. He is the one person I can never get enough of, no matter how annoyed I am or mad at him. He is my person.

I can’t with this girl and her cute little faces. You can tell she has her daddy wrapped around her little finger. These photos are just too precious!

My little loves! My boy is growing up so fast. Trying to capture him is getting harder and harder as he grows, but he humors me on my birthday. I love watching their sibling relationship grow. Jayden is the best big brother, and Ella just loves her Bubba!

SHOP OUTFITS:

Looking back at these photos I can’t help but feel incredibly blessed and thankful. I never dreamed a life like this, and I was a big dreamer! I didn’t know a love like this existed. It’s like I am living a fairytale. I thank God everyday for my family. They are my greatest loves!

Yellow Gingham Dress – 21 Week Update

Hi friends,

Hope you are doing well! Today I wanted to share a quick bump update with baby #3 and the cutest mommy and me yellow gingham dresses. I actually had this dress last year when I was pregnant with Ella but never got to share on my blog. Well it’s back in stock this year and I found a matching dress for Ella. I can’t get over how cute this dress is for Spring and Summer. Check out more of our matching mommy and me look and my twenty one week pregnancy update below!

21 WEEK BUMP UPDATE

Alright guys this pregnancy is flying by so fast! I honestly can’t believe we are already half way through. So far I’ve been doing really good at staying active, walking two miles a day 2-3 times a week and doing weight training 1-2 days a week. I have been making sure to make my health a priority in order to minimize any chances of going through what I went through when I was pregnant with Ella. You can read more about it here.

I haven’t gained much weight, but baby is growing perfectly. I definitely eat much better this time around, minimizing the sweets, and making sure to get enough protein and iron in since I normally get anemic during pregnancy. I hope that is not the case this pregnancy.

My doctor referred me to a hematologist to get some extra testing done just to rule out any blood abnormalities that might have caused my bleeding when I gave birth to Ella. Thankfully the consultation went well, and he doesn’t think I have any blood abnormalities.

We had our anatomy scan and baby is perfect. Doctor said everything looked good and baby is growing right on track. I always get so nervous before and during those appointments so I am very thankful we have had nothing but good news so far.

Ella’s Eat & Sleep Schedule + 11 Month Update

Hi friends,

Can you believe it our sweet Ella girl is already eleven months old?! Today I thought I would share Ella’s eat and sleep schedule since so many have been asking with her monthly update. Since we have this flexible routine set up for her our lives are so much easier. She honestly is the reason why I don’t feel stressed about having another little one so soon. She is a great sleeper, great eater, very independent and just easy going. Just the happiest little babe.

And now with her being eleven months she is almost starting to walk on her own. She is definitely a little mover and loves to explore. It won’t be long now before she will be walking on her own. And she also finally has her bottom two teeth coming in. It’s the cutest thing really! Check out more of her eleven month photos below!

Ella’s Eat & Sleep Schedule

7:00 – 8:00 AM – Wake up

Eat breakfast – Banana, 4oz of milk, occasional croissant

8:00 AM – 11AM – play, walk park, run errands with mom

11:00AM – 12PM – Eat big lunch get ready for nap

For lunch we always make sure she has organic probiotic yogurt to keep her regular.

1pm – 3pm – 40z of milk and then down for nap in her room.

If she has taken a nap earlier mid morning we have a shorter afternoon nap. As long as she gets 2 hours of nap before 3pm then we aren’t too strict with her napping in her room. Sometimes she naps in the car when I am running errands or on our park walks.

3PM – 5PM – play time, school pick up, run errands. Drink 4oz milk.

5PM – 7pm – Eat dinner, take a shower, get ready for bed

Dinners are smaller than lunch because we don’t want her to have a poopy diaper when she sleeps at night.

7pm -8pm – Bed time with 6oz bottle

This time between 3pm to 8pm is not strict as we sometimes have late baseball games with Jayden.  But as long as she has eaten dinner and in bed by 8pm then we are flexible with her schedule.

Ella sleeps through the night and is very consistent when it comes to her naps and eating. We implemented Taking Cara Babies sleep classes and it helped us so much in making such a great sleeper out of Ella. I wish I had known this with Jayden. Even when we travel and have room for flexibility as long as we keep a general routine she is always right on track.

We work her schedule around us so that way we are not restricted to her schedule. It has helped us better with managing our family time and makes her more easy going to change and traveling. I think it’s important to have the right balance when it comes to routine and schedules so you aren’t tied down to it for your sanity sake.

SHOP OUTFITS:

Our sweet Ella girl makes me want a fourth after baby number three arrives. I just want as many little babes as I can, especially when they come out so cute. I told Josh it’s hard not to want more when we make such cute babies. He is still on the fence for a fourth. He says lets see how three is then we can see lol! I guess we will see!

I hope you enjoyed this post and found her eat and sleep schedule helpful. Thanks for stopping by!

35 and Pregnant Again!

Hi friends,

I officially turned 35 this week! I spent this past weekend celebrating with family and enjoying a little staycation at the Grand Galvez.  It’s been recently renovated and it is absolutely stunning! We loved our stay there. This year is the second birthday in a row I’ve been pregnant. It’s crazy to think I will be thirty five with two under two. I like to say I am in my Rihanna era because Rihanna is also thirty five, with both our previous babies born in May, and a second one on the way. She has been my inspiration for rocking my pregnancy since she preformed at the Super Bowl pregnant.

I honestly felt a little down on myself because I felt I was getting too old. Technically when you turn thirty five they say you are having a “Geriatric pregnancy”. But this pregnancy has me feeling stronger than ever. I am thankful for my body for being able to carry another baby. After having two miscarriages previously before Ella, a healthy baby is always a blessing. I definitely don’t take it for granted. So here I am at 35 pregnant with baby number three and enjoying every minute of it. Of course I had to dress up a bit to document this time. So here’s a little birthday photoshoot and some photos of this past weekend birthday celebration!

SHOP OUTFITS:

How amazing is this Chanel cake from Butter Baby Bakery. She did my baby shower cake too and it was absolutely stunning. My husband just told her a few of my favorite things and she knocked it out of the park. It was as delicious as it looks too! Honestly it was the best birthday I could ask for. My hubby always finds a way to spoil me on my day. I am so thankful I get to spend the rest of my birthdays with him by my side.

This year I am thankful for another year with my family, being a mom, a wife, and bringing another beautiful baby in this world. I couldn’t ask for a better way to spend my birthday.

Check out last years birthday post below!

color block maxi, bump friendly outfit, pregnancy, nude heels, cat eye sunglasses, Givenchy Antigona bag

Hi friends,

Jumping on the color block trend this spring with this bump friendly, chic, cut out, $15 Color Block Maxi dress. I’ve definitely been more on the budget friendly fast fashion side of things lately with this pregnancy, because I don’t want to invest in anything that I won’t be able to wear for long. I use to never shop at these online stores, but lately I have been finding some great fashion finds for less. Now don’t get me wrong not everything I’ve gotten has been amazing, but the ones I do I want to share with you. So here’s one of my favorite color block maxi outfit below!

SHOP OUTFIT:

This dress is definitely giving me summer chic vibes. I can see myself wearing this out for lunch with friends or even date night with the hubs. I love the cut out details and how it stretches with my bump. I’m almost twenty weeks and wearing my normal size small. I can see myself wearing it through my second trimester. I know most people stay away from loud colors during their pregnancy, but this is your sign to go for it. Be bold, be colorful, and rock that bump. What do you think of the color block trend?
