Gosh I can’t believe Thanksgiving is only a week away! This weekend went by like a blur, and I am so excited about this colder weather. However, I think I might have come down with a cold, AGAIN. I have been doing nothing but laying around the house all day and trying to keep Jayden entertained while I catch a couple of naps or two. But I guess the pros of being sick is online shopping, and if your like me, then you have already started Christmas shopping! Last weekend my husband and I attended his ten-year high school reunion. I wore this fun and vibrant jumpsuit. It was so nice to meet all of his friends he grew up with and to see the type of friends he hung out with. Since we started dating my husband has only really went out a handful of times with his friends and for the most part it was with his cousins. He’s definitely opposite of me when it comes to being social and hanging out with friends. I guess I take it as a compliment that he only wants to hang out with me, hahaha, jk! 😉 Also, it was such a pleasant surprise when all of his friends already knew me through my blog. Josh always shares how proud of me he is with all his friends, and it really made my night. I seriously have the best husband in the world. He is just an all around guy.

TGIF! Gosh I can’t believe it’s already the weekend. This week has been so crazy, and now with my hubby back to work for another two weeks it’s finally sinked in. I guess your week flies by when you’re having fun. Tonight I am heading out for a night out with my sorority sisters and old coworkers, so I am sharing this leather and leopard look perfect for a date night or night out with friends as we get some cooler weather.
The elections are over, and for half of the nation right now is in disbelief of the outcome. Coming from a Texas and Republican household with some including myself voting the other side, the past couple months were tough, especially on social media. It has divided many households, questioned friendships, brought out the worse in some people, but it also brought out legitimate concern from both sides. But now that results are in we are a divided nation trying to come together after a very historical and epic election night. Yes I cried last night, it was very emotional election moment for me, being able to vote for the first ever female president. But I have realized that even though she did not win today does not mean we have not progressed as women. We have come a long away. There will be far better female candidates out there that America can stand behind, and I am willing to wait for that. I know God has great plans for this country, and I know he will see us through this. And for everyone else whether you were on the winning or loosing side of election day here are my final thoughts and four steps to moving forward after the elections.

This weekend has come and gone, and though I was sick for most of it I was able to enjoy Sunday out with my family. I was expecting cooler weather so I could bundle up in my cute sweaters and scarves, unfortunately it did not come, so I layered in this outfit instead and enjoyed my Sunday out with my family. Hey guys hope ya’ll are having a great day. I am keeping it short and sweet this post. These past couple of days have been so busy for this momma with Halloween. Three costumes and three days of Halloween later, I can say I am officially pooped! You can see more of our Halloween outfits on my Instagram. This weekend my hubby will be off for the week, and we have tons of things planned. I am trying to keep ahead with my blog post, because I have some fun holiday post planned ahead so stay tuned! Can you believe it Halloween is just around the corner? Now that I am a mom, Halloween has become one of my favorite holidays of the year. I love dressing up with my little man and stock piling on candy for a year. My kid may not be old enough to eat candy yet, but this mama can sure fill up lol. Woo! What a busy weekend! I feel like I am still playing catch up from our last mini weekend vacation. I have so many collaborations coming up this month, it’s been hard to keep up! This weekend was the opening for Dick’s Sporting Goods in Baybrook and as an ambassador I covered some of their special guest appearances including Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty, and Lance Berkman from the Astros.
