If you know me I am a huge fan of all things Joanna Gaines. I was lucky enough to have met her and have dinner with her before she opened Magnolia Table. Check out this post here. Happy Labor Day!

For those who follow my Instagram and watch my Instagram then you might already know I am headed to New York Fashion Week this week! It has been a crazy whirlwind of a month, as I didn’t even plan on going. I think I would have felt super guilty for leaving my family if it wasn’t a work related trip with everything that’s been going on down here in Houston. Plus unless you have sponsors, it gets pretty pricey to go with clothes and travel expenses. Well long story short last month probably the end of July I started getting invites and offers from PR companies and brands I worked with for NYFW. I was fortunate to have my outfits sponsored for NYFW and to be able to work with an amazing hotel and restaurants for my NYFW City guide. This weekend has come and gone, and though I was sick for most of it I was able to enjoy Sunday out with my family. This weekend flew by. First, we bought a new vanity desk for my office. It was on sale for 20% off this weekend at Target, and it fit perfect with my whole office set up. You can see it here on my Instagram. And on Sunday, we had the privileged of attending to Octoberfest at the King’s Biergartin with VIP media passes. It was so much fun, and the food was amazing! We even got a souvenir beer glass! The weekend definitely flew by but thank goodness for Columbus day, and for having the hubs home early from work, because this Monday will be a lazy day in for our little fam bam.

Hey guys, hope everyone had a great weekend. Unfortunately the rain cancelled some of our outdoor plans this weekend, but it gave us an excuse to stay in with family and watch football all day. Currently I have been obsessed with pleather leggings and platform heels, and lucky for me as a mom on a budget I found some for under $50. In fact these pleather leggings are on sale for $10! The Perfect Oversize sweater

Guys my heart has been heavy lately with all that is going on with on the news. As a blogger I feel God has given me my voice needs to be used to help those who cannot speak for themselves. Whether you agree or disagree with all the things that have been happening lately I hope we can all agree we need change. I pray that every one of us has the strength to stand up for what is right even when no one is looking, or listening. That we use the gifts God has given us to help those less fortunate. I pray as we come closer to elections that our country can come together and not be divided. I pray for peace. With all that being said I hope to inspire every one of you to be the difference the world needs today.

If there is one thing about being a Texas girl in the fall is that camo is always in. However this year it is actually making a fashion statement world-wide and is one of the hottest trends for fall.
