Happy Friday everyone! Who is ready for the weekend? With summer only a couple of months away I’ve teamed up with Banana Boat ® to share my top five summer outdoor activities I like to do with my busy little toddler. When school is out, we always try to find ways to stay active and have fun so we aren’t cooped up inside all day. But I also know the importance of keeping my little guy protected from the sun’s harmful UV rays and that’s why I use Banana Boat® Kids Sport Sunscreen. Check out our top five summer outdoor activities below and why I choose Banana Boat® Kids Sport Sunscreen to protect my little one from the sun’s harmful rays.

Mom Confessions: Why I Need My Weekends Off

Happy Friday everyone! This mama is excited for all the fun activities we have planned this weekend, but I think I am more excited for my alone time. Today I am getting a little personal with you, in my no judgement zone, about why this mama needs her weekends off. Sometimes I feel we have this perception that moms have to do it all, when the reality is not the case. We all struggle and we all need a little help and that’s why I am sharing my mom confession. Plus I had to share these adorable photos of my little guy. He is seriously a little goof ball just like his daddy. I can never keep a straight face around this boy. Ya’ll he is getting so big, and recently he keeps correcting me when I call him my baby. He says he’s my big boy! Uggh it breaks my heart a little when says that. Check out these photos and more of my post below!

Pumpkin Patch + 5 Activities for Fall

pumpkin patch, fall festivities, fall activities, family fall activities, mommy and me style, boy mom, mom style, fall outfit, hunter boots, pumpkin patch pictures

Hey guys,

Can you believe it we are already half way through the month! I am so excited for all the fun Fall activities we are having this month. But I am even more excited to be sharing it with my little man. I love this stage we are in. I told my husband for the first time in I finally feel like I have this motherhood thing down and it feels so good. I am not one of those people where motherhood came easily. I was never fond of the newborn stage, but this stage has to be my favorite. It is a new adventure with my little man. I love watching him learn, and talk, and show me things from his perspective. I love his energy, his joyful spirit, and his sweet love for his momma. It honestly makes my day when he gives me all those sweet kisses and hugs, and tells me “Momma thank you so much,” for the little things like getting him a cookie or taking him to the pumpkin patch. He melts my heart every day, and I am so thankful to be his momma. There truly is something special about being a boy mom, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Today I am sharing our fall checklist and the things we look forward to doing this month.

A Letter To My Son From Your #1 Fan

Dear Jayden,

It’s me, your number one fan. I have been since the day I found out I was having you, I knew there was nothing I wanted more than you. To see you grow, to see you flourish, to see you become the man God has destined you to be. I could only imagine when you were growing inside me, what you would look like, what your personality would be, and know that you are here you are more than I could have ever imagined. Is it so wrong for me to think you are the most perfect little being that God has ever created? I am so amazed by you, each and every day. I stare at you while you sleep and I thank God everyday for giving me such a blessing. You are my little angel in disguised, my saving grace. I owe so much of me and who I am now to you. I never knew I could be this strong, love so much, and be who I am today without you.

The Ugly Truth About Potty Training When You’ve Had Enough

mommy and me, boy mom, potty training, red, white, and blue, daniel wellington watch

So it’s been a month since Jayden has been diaper free and accident free at night. We have officially transitioned into underwear, no training pants, no pull ups for a month, and since last week no more baby potty. Jayden has full transitioned using the full size toilet at home and using public restrooms . We are so proud of our little man, especially since he has started swim lessons, no swim diapers either! But let me tell you. It has been quite a journey, probably one of the most stressful things I had to deal with since breast-feeding. We read the books, read tons of blog post on how to potty train, and let me tell you by saying yes they have great tips but they all tell you the same thing. Wait till he is ready, don’t force it. Really??? Yes that is all great if you have all the patience in the world, but if you are a mom like me, who hates changing poopie diapers, who is over trying to hold my active toddler down just to change his diaper, tired of spending so much money on diapers, carrying a diaper bag, and who is just plain over it, then this is for you. This is my story, and my ugly truth about potty training when you’ve had enough.

Being a Boy Mom

mommy and me outfits, boy mom, camo pants, black nike, mama's daily workout, tired as a mother

Three years I will be celebrating Mother’s Day as a mom, and every year it means so much more. I owe so much of who I am now to this little guy right here. I didn’t plan to be a mom, but God’s plans has a way of showing you how much more there is to life. My heart has never been bigger, my days never been happier, and I have never been stronger now that I am a mom. They say when you’re a boy mom you are always tired but your heart is always full, and to me every hour I miss sleeping is every hour I get to play with my little guy, laugh at all his shenanigans, and just watch him grow to the wonderful little guy that he is. There will always be a special bond that a mom and her little man will share. I am so thankful God made me a boy mom, because he has shown me strength, grace, and love more than I could ever imagine. Today I am sharing some fun truths about the life of being a boy mom.
