10 Tips for an iPad/iPhone Free Road Trip With a Toddler + Ruffle Black and White Swimsuit
This month if I’ll be sharing all about our road trip and tips and tricks with traveling with a toddler. It really was such an amazing vacation, and very relaxing to unplug, connect with my family, and enjoy our surroundings. Now to be fair we only have one kiddo and for the most part he was very entertained just being outside and playing in the pool or at the beach. So let’s get back to the road trip, yep 36 hours on the road with our little guy and we survived. Haha I’m being dramatic when I say survived because we had a great time on the road. So what did Jayden do the whole time while we drove with no iPad or iPhone to entertain him? Well let me tell you. Here are some tips and tricks to an iPad/iPhone free road trip with a toddler.
Tomorrow we officially head out for our family vacation! This cutie is excited because he is going to Disney World! We can’t be more thrilled to be able to take our son to Disney World for the first time. It is one of our many stops in Florida. We will also be heading to Seaside, Jensen Beach, Jupiter, West Palm Beach, Rosemary Beach, and Alys Beach and visiting all of our friends along the way. Five years ago I lived in Jensen Beach for two years and made some of my best friends out there. It is like a second home to me. The last time we visited I was 4 months pregnant with Jayden, and now that he is two it will be exciting to have him meet everyone for the first time. I’ve been preparing for this trip for over a month now, getting all the outfits ready for the hubs and little man. And as a mom on a budget I made sure to shop some deals at my favorite stores for my family. Below I’m sharing what we are packing for our trip and how you can shop on a budget too!
Last weekend we had the privilege to stay at the Lone Star Court in Austin courtesy of the hotel. It was a fun, family trip to celebrate my mom’s birthday and to visit my brother who lives in Austin. The hotel coincidently was the perfect location for us to stay at in Austin. We were five minutes from my brother’s new place and walking distance to the best shopping and dining at the Domain. The Lone Star Court is a unique, family friendly hotel, and the perfect place to stay in Austin. Check out my video tour of the hotel, and pictures of our room below. This past weekend my hubby and I had the opportunity to stay at the Hilton in Arlington. Josh is a huge Texas Rangers baseball fan and comes from a big baseball family. His Uncle is the manager of the Texas Rangers, so we try to make it up to Dallas once a year to visit family and watch the games. It was a fun weekend full of baseball and family, and we couldn’t have wanted anything more from our first road trip with Jayden. We were very thankful for our complimentary stay at the Hilton, and wanted to share our first family stay with you. The Hilton was very convenient for us because it was only minutes away from the ball park. It is also close to Six Flags, and the Dallas Cowboys stadium. You can literally see it from the view outside our window. Below are more pictures of our stay at the Hilton, and a fun video recap of our weekend trip!
