Off the Shoulder Street Style

This past week was a challenging time for me and my husband as parents. Our little guy got his first ear infection and gave us a scare when his fever was over 104 degrees! We rushed to the ER only to find out it was a common thing for children his age, and not as life threatening matter as we had feared. Apparently we weren’t giving Jayden the right dosage of Tylenol to break his fever, and were only giving half of the recommended dosage. I think one of the most frustrating things about being a first time parent is learning what and what not to freak out over, and even more stressful when both parents don’t agree. My hubby tends to be more of the worry wart, and I am definitely more laid back when it comes to our child being sick. I am also not a fan of hospitals and emergency rooms, and my husband is. But I guess better safe than sorry, right?

I love my hubby, and he is a great father. And though we don’t necessarily agree on everything as parents, we do agree on the importance of having alone time, and spending quality time with just the two of us. For our date night this month we were able to spend a day exploring downtown Houston. It’s been years since I’ve been downtown, and they have certainly added new life to the area. We met up with the talented Houston street photographer Francis Pane to do a fun street style session.
