How has your week been going? It’s been busy one for this momma trying to stay on my fitness goals and also keep at my New Year’s resolution of cooking once a week. Today I wanted to share one of my favorite looks this year. This is a look that many of ya’ll already might have in your closet but just don’t know to put together. Today I am sharing tips for an elevated dressier look with your everyday utility vest. I love a good olive utility vest, and this one I’m wearing has a removable fur hood too! It is a vest that can be worn all year around. Check out how I styled this vest below!
Everyone needs a good utility vest. It is a closet staple that never goes out of style. The utility vest can easily be dressed down for a comfy look with flats and denim, but if you are looking to dress it up for an elevated look here are some tips for you:
4 Tips to Dressing Up Your Utility Vest
1. Accessorize – statement earrings, and a hat are great accessories to elevate your look with a utility jacket. I love my new hat for under $40, and these earrings are on repeat from this look here and here. Here are some of my favorite statement earrings here.
2. Trade out a simple tee for a dressier top to layer under your vest like this adorable puff sleeve top for under $60. How adorable are these tops here?
3. Change out your regular blue jeans for some colored jeans like these white jeans. White jeans are a dressier bottom that can be worn all year round. Here are some of my favorite white denim.
4. Add a heel, whether they be pumps or boots, having a higher heel will elevate this look. My heels are older and currently sold out, but here are some of my favorite lace ups here.
5. Last but not least, carry a structured bag. Instead of your mom tote or everyday crossbody bag, opt for a bag like this with more structure and has a dressier appeal. Check out some of my favorite Zac Posen bags here.
