Can you believe it it’s already the end of January? One more month till spring and shorts season, but until then I will be enjoying this nice Houston Winter we are having. One thing I love about Winter to Spring fashion is the transitional colors of neutrals and pastels. I’m loving this colder weather we are finally having down here in Houston! This New Year has been nothing but GO, GO, GO for this mama. So this past month since we moved into our new home, my husband and I have been exploring our new hobby of antiquing and refurbishing old furniture. I love the idea of making something old new again. One day while out antiquing we decided to stop at a Goodwill to see if we could find an old table or dresser. Finally it’s starting to feel like fall here in Texas! As the weather cools down I love pairing up fall transitional pieces like this fur vest with a basic navy button down dress. This dress I bought over the summer on sale for less than $15! As a mom, I find myself more online shopping than anything. This site where I ordered this dress has some really cute styles for less. I also ordered this adorable Michael Antonio wedges from 6PM, and they are one of my favorite go to shoes for the fall.

This past weekend my husband and I had the opportunity to attend a close friend’s birthday at the new Oporto in Midtown. The restaurant was amazing, great venue, reasonable prices, good food, and amazing white sangria. If you haven’t been there it, I would highly recommend it. Plus they have their own parking garage  and valet which makes it so much more convenient with all the traffic and construction down there.

It was a Thursday night, and we were fortunate to have my mom watch Jayden for the night while we went out.

This past weekend my family and I took Jayden out to Froberg’s Farm in Alvin for a little pumpkin patch fun. It was inexpensive, local, and tons of fun for the kiddos. We lucked out because the weather was perfect when we went down there. We were able to go through the corn maze, walk around the farm, and take tons of pictures without sweating or getting over heated. I love this time of year because it is the best weather in Texas to be outside, and you get to layer it cute fall outfits!

Woot! Woot! What a milestone! Our little man is one month and we survived as parents. I can’t believe how much he has grown! Packed on almost 3 lbs since his birthday. This boy loves to eat, fart, and make funny faces. He is advanced in his motor skills, kicking, grabbing, and holding his head up. It was a crazy whirlwind of a month with many challenges, but in the end we couldn’t be more thankful for our healthy growing boy.
