This week has been a very busy week for me, so I am keeping it short and sweet this week. Yesterday I came home late from a fun dinner with some of my favorite bloggers hosted by Elizabeth Arden. It was such a fun event and I was really thankful to meet their amazing PR and representatives all the way from NYC! The last event I went to I wore this fun white ruffle romper and these beautiful embroidered heels for under $30. For the summer this white ruffle romper makes a perfect addition in your closet for under $60! Check out how I styled this look below!
Can’t believe I am 29! Time sure does fly by, especially more now that I have a family of my own. This past weekend we went to our 3rd annual trip to Dallas to visit family and support the Texas Rangers. (View our past trips here and here.) We come from a baseball family, and there’s nothing more that makes this mama’s heart melt than seeing my husband and son share their love for the game. On Saturday the night before my birthday, when we went to the game my hubby surprised me with the sweetest birthday message on the big jumbotron at the Ranger’s stadium. And to top it off, since Josh’s Uncle manages the Rangers, we were able to sit right behind President George W. Bush and meet him at the game! Now that’s a pretty awesome way to remember my 29th birthday. I’m really thankful to be able to have such wonderful family to celebrate with on my birthday, and as I near my thirties I can’t help but reflect on how much I have learned and grown in my twenties. I never imagined my life would be like this, and never could imagine how amazing life would be. I look back at all my throwback pictures and can’t help but laugh at all the crazy good times, and lessons learned. My 20’s were something else, and there isn’t a single thing I regret about it, not even my poor choice in “hoochie mama” clothing during my college party days lol. All of my choices, all of my heartaches, all of my mistakes, help me be who I am today. So here are 29 life lessons I learned in my 20’s. Continue reading “29 Life Lessons I learned in my 20’s”
Today I am sharing a perfect transition look from Winter to Spring, or if you live in Houston where the weather changes daily. When I wore this outfit to brunch with my interns last week it was sixty degrees outside but by the time we were done with brunch it was close to eighty degrees! Luckily I had one of my favorite transitional sweaters that worked well with the indecisive weather. So if you are like me, and not ready to give up sweaters yet, here is a transitional look that you can wear through Spring with this beautiful lace-up sweater! Hope ya’ll had a great weekend! Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and I wanted to share one last look I wore to the Galentine’s brunch I co-hosted last week at Barbazzar. I love this time of year because it gives me an excuse to plan fun cute events with my beautiful blogger babes where we can come together and build connections over chocolates and coffee. This outfit is all about the laces from one of my favorite lace up skirts to these fun snake-skin heels. Check out this full look and our Galentine’s Brunch with Barbazzar below.
Last month, I had the opportunity to attend an exclusive brunch in honor of the grand opening of Hungry’s newest addition of their upstairs brunch and bar area. If you haven’t been to Hungry’s in Rice Village, they have amazing food and drinks. You should definitely go. You won’t be disappointed. For this event I wore all neutral whites and grey this gorgeous eyelet lace top from Chicwish. I love the dainty lace details. It is a true statement piece and one that you can transition into spring. This eyelet lace top is one of those pieces you won’t find anywhere else. Check out how I styled this top below.
Hope everyone had a wonderful New Year! Jayden and I spent it with my family, and had a big traditional Filipino celebration for New Years Eve. My husband had to work, but we were able to spend New Years day with him when he came home from work so we were thankful for that. This week is a busy week for me, as I have big plans for this blog. I just hired three interns for this year to work along side me to taking this blog to next level, and this is the first official week of business. So today I am going to leave you with this fun outfit, mixing old with new for my first official 2017 fashion post.
