It’s summer and that means time to bring out the shorts and skirts, especially your denim skirt. Yup the 90’s are back and in full force, and today I’m sharing some tips to rocking that denim skirt this summer. Let’s me be honest with you. I haven’t worn a denim skirt since middle school, and coincidently enough this skirt is from the girl’s section at Zara’s that probably my thirteen years old self could have fit in. But hey, when you are petite like me, shopping for things that fit my size usually leads me to the kid’s section. But the best thing about this skirt it has an adjustable waist band room for me to grow. Lol I might not grow in height but come Thanksgiving and Christmas I might need a little bit more room in my waist. Check out how I styled this denim skirt and tips so you can rock it too!

A couple weeks ago I wore this adorable outfit for a play date with my mom friends. It was the perfect outfit for the warmer weather we have been having. As summer approaches, every mom will be looking for a comfortable, yet fashionable outfits they can run around with their kiddos in. Today on the blog I am partnering up with 4EurSole to share 5 summer fashion trends for moms that every mom needs to have in their closet!
As always I try to keep it short and sweet on Fridays, because somehow it always seems to be one of my busiest days, and by then I’m almost running on empty lol. Tonight I am partnering up with my dear friend and her church to host their first ever fashion show event at the church. I am excited to be part of such a wonderful community event, and hopefully there will be many more to come. You can follow along on Instagram for more of the event. But back to the subject of this blog post and this amazing lightweight blazer you need for warmer weather. I love a classic blazer to dress up an outfit. It even pairs up perfectly with distressed jeans for a effortless chic look! Check out how I styled this blazer for under $50 in this classic spring outfit below!
Happy Monday ya’ll! It’s been rainy and cold this past weekend but hopefully it will be sunny warmer weather in our forecast this week. I am already excited for this week because I just found out my hubby and I will be going for a little getaway this weekend. I cannot wait to have some one on one time with the hubs. I think it is so important when you are married with kid(s) to take some time with your love. It really does the body, mind, heart, and soul good. The last weekend my husband was off we went for a little brunch date after church to a cute brunch spot in Galveston. Josh is not a city person, even though I do love a good brunch in Houston. (Check out my favorite brunch spots here.) But we both love the fresh ocean air, so any chance we get we always go to Galveston. I wore this outfit with this fun pleated skirt for the perfect Sunday Brunch Look. Check out this look below and make sure to enter in the $850 Nordstrom Giveaway!
