Today is officially my sweet Daisy’s first birthday! I can’t believe it. It seemed like yesterday that we were bringing her home. Read her full birth story here. I know I say this all the time but nothing puts time in perspective like watching your children grow. Daisy has been such a ball of sunshine, and never not smiling. Just a happy babe no matter what gets thrown her way.

Hi friends,

Hope you are having a great week! This past week has been crazy. I turned 36 two weeks ago, and then I ended up having emergency gallbladder removal only a couple days after. I ended up staying in the hospital for six days for recover. It was unexpected but I am glad I am home and recovering. The doctors say it’s the number one emergency surgery they do, and that it is very common in women.

Hi friends,

I officially turned 35 this week! I spent this past weekend celebrating with family and enjoying a little staycation at the Grand Galvez.  It’s been recently renovated and it is absolutely stunning! We loved our stay there. This year is the second birthday in a row I’ve been pregnant. It’s crazy to think I will be thirty five with two under two. I like to say I am in my Rihanna era because Rihanna is also thirty five, with both our previous babies born in May, and a second one on the way.

Hi friends!

I can’t believe the day is here, my little man turns five! It’s crazy to think how time flies, even more so when you watch your children grow. This year makes me a little sad though, because this is the year my son goes into kindergarten. It’s a good thing don’t get me wrong, but for some reason I feel like I am losing my little baby. Day by day my little man starts growing into a young man and I don’t know if my heart can take it.

Can’t believe I am 29! Time sure does fly by, especially more now that I have a family of my own. This past weekend we went to our 3rd annual trip to Dallas to visit family and support the Texas Rangers. (View our past trips here and here.) We come from a baseball family, and there’s nothing more that makes this mama’s heart melt than seeing my husband and son share their love for the game.
