For those who have experienced miscarriages or infertility I feel you. There will always be a sense of worry and anxiety after having a loss. Sometimes things don’t always work out the way we want them and sometimes our children are called back to our father before we even meet them. I know my children are not mine alone but they are his. It is an honor to be blessed with one of God’s children to raise and cherish, whether through birth, adoption, or marriage. God hears us and he has a plan for us. His plans will always be greater than our wants.

Proverbs 3:5-7
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. 💛🙏🏽

Sometimes God’s plans has a funny way of humbling us and making us stronger. This year has been full of blessings but a lot of trials and obstacles as well. Sometimes to get where we need to be we have to get through the sh*t first. God didn’t take every obstacle out of Moses’s path to get him to the promise land but he got him through it. Being a Christian doesn’t mean our lives are going to be easy. Sometimes it’s through the hardships and suffering that builds our faith stronger. Trusting in God’s plans means trusting him through the hard and difficult times just as much as we trust him during the good. 💛🙏🏽 #trustingodsplan

One thing about homeschooling is the freedom to choose the curriculum you want to teach your child. Jayden struggled being challenged in school because he is very gifted. He would finish his work early and just read history books the rest of his class in public school. So when picking out a curriculum for Jayden I knew I wanted something faith based, something challenging, and something that would promote independent learning. We ended up doing the classical Christian curriculum for Jayden. I’ve seen Jayden grow in so many ways including being challenged in the curriculum, but I also love that if he does master something quickly we can moved on to more challenging things instead of him being bored in class. It’s been very rewarding being his teacher! Do you homeschool or have you thought about homeschooling? #homeschoollife

Our time is too short on this earth to be chasing after people. You should never have to chase for someone’s love or someone’s approval. As our family expands it’s more important to me to be intentional with one on one dates with my kiddos. I know how much it means to them to have undivided attention from their mommy and daddy. I want them to feel special and loved in their own unique way, whether it’s going to the park, or getting ice cream. Whatever they want to do without having to worry about what their siblings want to do. How do you make intentional time with each of your kiddos? #parentinghacks

Excited for this new season in our life. I prayed about this so much as a mother and God has called me to be a teacher for my son this year. Now that the time has come I’m so thankful for this opportunity and for this time with my son. To invest in him and teach him as God has called me to do. I’ve seen so many videos of young women sharing their qualifications for men they would date, and many started with how much they had to make, what type of job they had etc. I promise you as someone who married for ten years and we didn’t have a penny to our name in the beginning, non of that matters if they aren’t a good person to begin with. If they don’t put God first, they won’t value you or put you and your family first. Don’t be easily tempted by society’s standards of what a good partner is because that will always change, but the Bible won’t. Marriage is hard, don’t settle for someone who doesn’t value you and see you as God sees you.

Since we moved out to our new home we aren’t as close to a Smoothie King as I use to be, and I’ve been craving this açaí bowl all summer! Now that I know how to make it at home it’s been my favorite morning treat! It’s super simple and so good! Let me know if you make it! #acaibowl #healthyrecipes

Yesterday was our 10th anniversary, and with recent tragic events that happened in my husbands line of work it could have been our last. But God was watching over my husband, and I’m thankful he is home safe with us. I can’t imagine my life without him. He is my best friend, the best husband and father to our children. God’s greatest gift he has given me is my husband, without him I would not have the life or our beautiful children we have today. Thankful for every day I’ve had with my husband and I pray I will have a lifetime more with him by my side. 💛🙏🏽
