Yesterday was our 10th anniversary, and with recent tragic events that happened in my husbands line of work it could have been our last. But God was watching over my husband, and I’m thankful he is home safe with us. I can’t imagine my life without him. He is my best friend, the best husband and father to our children. God’s greatest gift he has given me is my husband, without him I would not have the life or our beautiful children we have today. Thankful for every day I’ve had with my husband and I pray I will have a lifetime more with him by my side. 💛🙏🏽

As a mom of three it’s been a lot of trial and error when it comes to having good eaters. My first is a picky eater, but as a first time mom I really did not know what I was doing. In my Mom era. It hasn’t been easy, I’m always tired, someone is crying, screaming, or needing to get changed or held. But I wouldn’t change any of these moments, because I know what it’s like not to have them. These are the days I know I’ll miss the most the most. Watching my independent nine year old grow up puts everything in perspective that these times are short. One minute you are cuddling and kissing their chubby little cheeks, and the next minute they are dodging your hugs and kisses. I might be one tired mama, but I’m one tired HAPPY, BLESSED mama.💛🙏🏽

What a crazy eventful week this past week has been. From celebrating my 36th birthday with family and friends to getting rushed to the ER in the middle of the night this past weekend and getting emergency gallbladder removal surgery. Then being transferred to another hospital to do another gastrointestinal procedure after having no signs of previous gastrointestinal issues. I never thought I would be having any of these health issues as someone who lives a pretty active lifestyle, but according to the doctors this is just something that could occur in women my age even without any previous health concerns. I’m thankful for the health professionals who took care of me this past week. I’m thankful for all of my friends and family who have sent prayers and well wishes. Beyond blessed for our family who helped watched our kiddos so Josh could be with me at the hospital. And extra grateful for my husband and best friend for taking care of our family and me, and being there by my side through the whole ordeal. It’s moments like this that really put in perspective how God puts the right people in your life. I don’t know what I would do without my family and my husband. They are my light and my motivation to get through it all. Happy to finally be home resting with my family and being home with my babies.💛🙏🏽

#ad I recently watch this film UNSUNG HERO, which is about family, community, faith, and the struggles a family is tasked with and that made me think about my mom’s immigration to America. All the things she did for us, the sacrifices she made so we could live a better life and live the American dream. Just like Helen in the @unsungheromovie mom’s are the true unsung heroes. We don’t want the accolades or the praise, we just want what’s best for our family. There is no greater calling in life than to be a mother and to raise your children in the ways of the lord and to see them fulfill their own true calling.
