Last weekend I attended a Pinterest workshop with the best Houston Bloggers at City Center. It was really informative, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to increase their traffic. Not only was it very informative but it was tons of fun. For one of our scheduled break we had an exclusive shopping event at Kendra Scott. Thankfully I was wearing my trench coat and my rain boots, because it started to rain so bad when we had to walk across to the party.

Who says you can’t pattern mix when it comes to fashion? I am probably the biggest perpetrator when it comes to mixing pattern. I love Aztec prints and though most people like to pair it with solid colors, I loved how it coordinated perfectly with this black and white striped dress. I recently picked up this one on sale at H&M and I love how versatile it is. It’s perfect for pairing up with brown over the knee boots or with casual black canvas shoes.

Finally it’s starting to feel like fall here in Texas! As the weather cools down I love pairing up fall transitional pieces like this fur vest with a basic navy button down dress. This dress I bought over the summer on sale for less than $15! As a mom, I find myself more online shopping than anything. This site where I ordered this dress has some really cute styles for less. I also ordered this adorable Michael Antonio wedges from 6PM, and they are one of my favorite go to shoes for the fall.

This past weekend my husband and I had the opportunity to attend a close friend’s birthday at the new Oporto in Midtown. The restaurant was amazing, great venue, reasonable prices, good food, and amazing white sangria. If you haven’t been there it, I would highly recommend it. Plus they have their own parking garage  and valet which makes it so much more convenient with all the traffic and construction down there.

It was a Thursday night, and we were fortunate to have my mom watch Jayden for the night while we went out.

This past weekend we went to zoo for the first time with our little one. Unfortunately we got rained out before we got to see the new gorilla exhibit. I love my outfit I wore to the zoo. I bought this straw hat to keep the sun from my face. It’s a perfect summer hat for all your summer activities.
