When people ask me is it hard to have four kids with three under three. They are surprised when I say it was harder to have one than four. Here’s why: Two words: PERSPECTIVE & EXPERIENCE.
It’s not the child that is hard, it’s the learning everything new as a mother and finding confidence as a parent. I remember with my first baby being completely clueless and having every fear and anxiety in the world. I worried everything I did would mess up my baby. I couldn’t even watch the news because of how bad my anxiety was. Looking back I wish I had given myself more grace and trusted myself more as a mother. I see myself now juggling four kids while my husband is gone for work more than 2/3 of the year, and doing pretty darn good. I look back at younger self and wonder why I ever doubted myself when I had it so easy with my angel baby of a son. Who to this day is the “easiest” child to parent.😅
Parenting is hard whether you have one or four kids, but by the fourth you already know what to expect, you are more prepared, and you also know hard days will pass. The sleepless nights, the terrible twos, all of that will seem like a blink of an eye when you realize how fast time flies with children. I no longer stress about the little things, and I trust God more in guiding me in my ministry as a mother. I choose faith over fear, and choose joy over worry. 💛🙏🏽

God bless the girls who are amazing mama friends! Every mom needs a mom friend group that they can count on to share their experiences with. Who will be there through thick and thin, be a big supporter of your family and kiddos and occasionally feed you when you have your hands full!🤪💛

As someone who has experienced postpartum depression with my first, I’ve found getting outside and getting active has been so helpful in helping me combat the Baby Blues. Plus it’s so good for baby and the whole family. We make it a time to go to the park, play, get the kids energy out, while simultaneously helping me with my recovery. #postpartumrecovery

Postpartum recovery doesn’t have to be stressful or filled with sleepless nights with the right support system. As moms our main job after birth is focusing on recovery so we can be the best moms to our newborn. Our body is constantly changing from breast feeding, to our uterus contracting and recovering from birth. It’s important to have a partner who will do everything to make sure you have the best environment to recover. Thankful for my hubby for always being the best dad and taking care of me. If you want to know why we keep having kids, it’s because he makes motherhood enjoyable for me.💛🥰 #postpartumrecovery

Did you know it takes 6-8 weeks for your uterus to get back to pre-pregnancy size. And in one week it only decreases half the size. So don’t be alarmed if your stomach doesn’t shrink back to its normal size in a week. It takes time for your body to fully recover from birth. #postpartumbody
