My hubby and I went on our first adult outing with our friends child free this month when we were in Chicago. It was so much fun, and needless to say we let loose a bit. It was nice to hang out with friends and not have to worry about the kiddo. Usually one of us has to stay home while the other one goes out, but this was a nice change of pace to be both out with our friends. This sequined two piece set from Tobi I wore that night is the perfect outfit to wear for a night out on the town or even for Labor Day which is only a month away. This past weekend when my hubby and I were walking down the Magnificent Mile in Chicago, we stopped by this beautiful church to take pictures. We were drawn in by the cascading wall of green vines that grew on the side of the church. When we walked in we saw this beautiful fountain in the courtyard. It was like walking back in time. I love older churches and their architecture. This dress I wore had the most adorable oversized ruffle sleeves. It was the perfect summer dress for touring Chicago, and visiting a church. What a whirl wind of a week. It’s been so busy with work and vacation. Currently I’m still in Chicago with my hubby. We are trying to catch a plane back home tonight. This week has already flown by and we are almost to the weekend! We got to see our family from Oklahoma who came down to visit this weekend, and Jayden loved being with his cousins and having other kiddos to play with. Last night, I celebrated one of my dear friend and sorority sister’s engagement. I love nothing more than celebrating love, and it makes me so happy for my friends to find someone they want to spend the rest of their life with. Especially with my wedding anniversary coming up next week. It took me twenty-six years to find my soul mate, but nothing makes me happier than knowing I will be spending the rest of my life with him. Last weekend we went for date day in Galveston, just my hubby and I. By the way if you don’t know ninety percent of the time he is the man behind the camera when it comes to my blogging pictures. Hey guys, hope you are having a great week! Since I’ve gotten back from my trip last weekend, the little man and I have been under the weather these past couple of days. But I finally finished editing some of my outfits I wore this weekend, and I can’t wait to share with you this casual and comfy trendy summer look. I live in tank dresses in the summer. As a mom, tank dresses are a comfortable and cool alternative to shorts in this Texas summer heat. I wore this outfit on our road trip to Austin this past weekend. This past weekend we went to zoo for the first time with our little one. Unfortunately we got rained out before we got to see the new gorilla exhibit. I love my outfit I wore to the zoo. I love it because its nautical stripes are perfect for the summer, and it’s also big enough to double as a diaper bag for our trip. My husband decided to make a guest appearance in this blog.
